Lower Heating Bills Projected This Winter

The Department of Energy recently released a forecast for this year’s consumption of fuels used to heat homes in their “Winter Fuels Outlook.” And it brought some good news: the forecast has announced that our heating bills are projected to be lower than the previous year! Now you can enjoy your B.R. McGinty heating system without the worry of spending too much on your heating bill.

The table below explains that for those who rely predominantly on natural gas as their main source of home heat, they will see a 5% savings from last year. And if the weather is 10% warmer than anticipated, there will be an additional 7% savings. This is especially good news for Arkansans due to the fact that most of us primarily rely on natural gas for our heating needs.

Additionally, the forecast states that if the weather is 10% colder than it was last year, the consumption of natural gas will still be 3% less than last winter. Currently the forecast appears to be favorable, but as we all know too well, the weather can change at any time.

With the temperatures sure to drop sooner rather than later, it’s always best to be prepared. Call one of our fine B.R.
