I am a retired home inspector (well versed in HVAC) and contacted 5 companies. I didn't tell any of the 5 companies my knowledge. My heating and cooling units are 20 years old and didn't want to risk them going out at peak season. The sales person was the most knowledgeable of them all, he was no pressure, and very professional. They sell quality systems American Standard is what I chose. Their price was $1400 less than a Trane dealer. American Standard and Trane are exactly the same for a 14 seer unit. It is functionally the same company. Their prices were about the same as the companies that sold equipment of lesser quality ie. Goodman, Amana and York. I am not a big fan of Rheem and would never buy Carrier. The install crew did a great job and were very knowledgeable and experienced. I would rate them A+. I highly recommend them.
